Quality Management System (QMS)

Every time you modify a prime door or manufacture a fire door from a blank/core in accordance with the certificate, data sheets and any other information provided to you by the manufacturer, you will need to demonstrate that this will be done consistently.

You will need to have a Quality Management System (QMS) based on the requirements of ISO 9001 incorporating Factory Production Control (FPC) procedures/routines to verify traceability and conformity of product manufacture.

The QMS is about achieving consistency of product specification and quality standards throughout the manufacturing facility. A Licensed Door Processor must enshrine the requirements of the relevant certification scheme and allowed product scope into their individual QMS.

The third-party certification body will conduct audits at the Licensed Door Processor’s facility to ensure that the QMS and FPC are robust and comply with the specific requirements of the scheme.
